The Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking a Senior Nuclear Fuels Engineer to provide design and experimental support to Fuel Fabrication Department projects. Provide fuel specifications as needed for Fuel Fabrication Department Projects. Provide technical input to commercialization activities as needed. Chosen candidate will also provide Project Engineering support to Advanced Test Reactor (ATR) Fuels procurement manager and ATR Program Manager for acquisition of ATR fresh, un-irradiated nuclear fuel. Develop the technical and systems engineering knowledge to support the 32 TRTRs (test reactors) in the US, which includes the ATR. Candidate will review vendor data, drawings, fabrication records and other associated documentation to determine the acceptability of fabricated fuel.
Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
**Contribute to experiment and equipment designs in support of Fuels Department Projects. Including any documentation associated with the reactor insertion process.
**Develop knowledge base in support of ATR fuels system engineering and SSCs.
**Providing project engineering support for ATR fuel management projects.
**Manage technical resources and provide schedule integration for activities, establish priorities, and identify and request resources to accomplish work objectives.
**Review fuel fabrication process for improvements.
